" rel="nofollow - As the title suggests, I have a total of 3 fans (2 Chassis and 1 CPU fan) that are not 4 pin and cannot be controlled via PWM as the two fan headers on my motherboard are 4 pin PWM headers and so I cannot control the fan speeds as the board does not seem to have a feature to switch from PWM to voltage regulation in the BIOS but I could be wrong as it is not clearly mentioned in the Manual.

I would like to connect both chassis fans to the system fan header and control their speeds as one channel and have automatic speed control for the CPU.

Can this be done somehow or do I need to buy a fan controller?

Thanks!

Natch. That won't work.

Is it that you need one or two 3-pin extensions to gain some length?

""I would like to connect both chassis fans to the system fan header and control their speeds as one channel""

THAT won't work. No controlling two fans on one header.

Felt the need to clarify.

What do you mean? I'm just asking if I can control 3 pin fans on this mobo as it doesn't seem to be the case unless the fans are 4 pin.

Do I need a fan controller?
