I got this Asrock x370 Gaming K4 MotherBoard (which is now EOL unfortunately) not more than a month ago.. I have not receive my Ryzen Chip yet so i can't build my PC, as i was looking at it's AM4 Socket I notice that when the lever is closed the leftmost holes of it has something underneath as you can see on the picture.. but when it was open and the socket move to the right it is just like the normal one which you can see the insides of it.. Is this normal? I'm afraid it can damage my processor's pins if this is not normal.. please help can anyone verify if their AM4 socket looks like this also when closed? Thank alot.

That pic isn't enough to judge by from here, over the internet.

If it is concerning to you contact the seller you purchased it from.

it's ok.. but if you happen to have any AM4 socket board, can you check if that leftmost holes actually overlap with into something underneath when it is closed? thanks. you can see that the leftmost of my board overlap on something, if other boards does not have that then i might have a problem ^_^

No spare board here. Sorry.

Bad sockets are super rare. Like, I've only ever heard of just one.

Set your processor on it and if it doesn't drop flush into the socket on all 4 sides, return the board to the seller as defective.
