" rel="nofollow - My newest build is about 90% new. I transferred my SSD with Windows 10 into my new build did a Windows refresh so now it all feels brand new. The system starts up and everything appears to be working just fine. This build does not have an optical drive so I have not installed any of the software or drivers that came on CD with the board (z270 extreme4). My question is this:
Do I actually need anything on that CD if everything appears to be running properly?
When I go to the support/downloads section for my MB, there is a ton of software. Things like:
Intel Management Engine driver ver:11.6.0.1126 Intel Lan driver ver:21.1 AppCharger ver:1.0.6 SATA Floppy Image ver:15.5.0.1051 ASMedia SATA3 Driver ver:2.0.8.0
etc, etc, etc.
Do I really need all that stuff?

And do not install it/them from the included Support CD as those are certainly now outdated. Instead: The latest released by Intel https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/98089/Intel-Z270-Chipset" rel="nofollow - https://downloadcenter.intel.com/product/98089/Intel-Z270-Chipset

That's what we're here for.
And thank you for asking that. The INF must be installed for a properly working system.
Too. I'm not too awful sure in looking again that you might if they aren't working need the ASMedia USB 3.0 drivers also.
