" rel="nofollow - Has anybody else noticed that it is impossible to get to a location on the ASRock X370 Taichi web page that will show and let you download the latest drivers and BIOS. It stopped working late last week and is still "broke" today. I have tried IE11, Chrome and Edge with the same results. Or...am I not able to navigate the "revised" web page? The web pages for the Z77 and Z97 M/B's still work like they always did.

Ken427, please tell us what file(s) specifically you are trying to DL, from where and where you are.  I went to the ASRock US site and DLed four files with no problems using Waterfox (64 bit Firefox).  Some were for Asia/US, some Europe and some for China.  The URLs are all FTP not HTTP.  I do suggest you get your AMD chip set drivers directly from http://support.amd.com/en-us/download" rel="nofollow - AMD .  Enjoy, John.

MisterJ,

The only way I can get to the Download Screen is to switch to a country like Latin America or Brazil/Portugues. The US versions will not let me get to the download page it just keeps looping back to the main X370 Taichi page.

" rel="nofollow - To start, you won't find the "latest' drivers on that page.

Too, links are working here atm.

Ken429, are you looking for drivers for a new OS install? If so, I'll post links to newest.

" rel="nofollow - wardog,

No I've got all the latest stuff which I downloaded several weeks ago when MY systems could access the US download page. I just wanted to check and see if there were any new releases like BIOS version 3.0 and the latest Realtek drivers. Thanks for the offer.

I can't believe I'm the only one with the US problem which started for me late last week. I'm ok, I can learn Spanish or whatever to check the X370 Taichi downloads. Like I said above, I don't have the same issue checking the Z77 Extreme4, Z97 Extreme6 and/or the Z97 Killer M/B pages. I've tried multiple computers and web browsers and get the same results.

I'm grasping at whatever, but I did install the latest W10 cumulative update on 7/11/17. That's very close to the time X370 Taichi web page stopped working correctly??

" rel="nofollow - Couple things, firstly which "Support" link are you clicking on? Thre is one at the top right, and one further down the page. Click the one further down the page. Second, sometimes web browsers go completely nuts once their caches get too full, clear the cache (including cookies) then try again. I went to the Taichi page and accessed the downloads without any problems using Firefox. As a last resort you could also try resetting your router, unplugging it for a few mins then plugging it back in. That will make it get fresh packet data so there isn't any "stale" information.

Is there a page or popup that is shown you can capture and post?

No anti-ANYTHING installed around the same time this began? In Windows, or the browser?

You might try changing browsers cuz it's looking like only you here.

wardog,

That's ok. I can live with Spanish. Let's wait a week or two and see if the problem on the US X370 Taichi goes away. Just to add to the mystery I went to your M/B's page on the ASRock site and had the same issue. It has something to do with the different approach ASRock is using on the newer M/B's since all the old Z97 pages still work correctly. I have tried to access the X370 Taichi web page using the Rysen System which has a clean install W10 Pro plus all the latest updates and it has the same problem as all the Z97 Extreme6 systems that I have tried.

Ken429, your firewall (or W10) may be blocking FTPs.  Please make sure port 21 is open and try again.  Enjoy, John.

EDIT:  I think I saw a fairly recent post of DL problems - don't know if it was the same.

EDIT again:  I went to http://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/X370%20Taichi/index.br.asp#osW1064" rel="nofollow - Asrock Brazil and found that the Asia/US links are HTTP while the others are FTP.  I can see the target URL in the lower left of the screen when I place the mouse over the link.  Please go there and see if you can DL from any or all sites.

Just tried the USA ASRock X370 Taichi download page, no problem downloading anything. Tried a few other of the new AM4 pages, and the newest X299 board downloads, all worked for me.

Clearing the browser cache is a good idea. I can't say you shouldn't be having a problem, so we'll keep and eye on this.

" rel="nofollow - wardog,

Ok, I've made four screen shots of my X370 Taichi web site loop.

The first screen shot shows the X370 Taichi main page with all the acolytes if you scroll down several times.

The second screen shot shows what I get when I click on Support and enter "X370 Taichi" in the search box and hit enter.

The third screen shot shows that it took me back to the main X370 Taichi page after clicking on "Download".

The fourth screen shot just shows the first page of all the acolytes!!

Now, how do I get these screen shots ".PNG" to show on this forum? I can't seem to figure out how to make Pastebin do it. Or I can email them as an attachment. Or I can start a thread on a forum that handles attachments.

" rel="nofollow - Ken429, did you see my post above?  If not, please do.  Have you opened port 21 (FTP) in your Fire Wall?  If not, please do.  Enjoy, John.

imgur.com; New Post, upload them, copying each link that ends in png(this is important, it must end in a graphics format) then in the expanded/extended Reply editor you'll see button that is a tree that allows you to insert images here, one at a time.

HTH, if not post back

" rel="nofollow - MisterJ,
Sorry I missed your post, something about this site when there are multiple posts I only get an email notification for the last one?

Anyway, I've got one machine with only the W10 security stuff installed - no Norton Comcast Security Suite. I turned off the System Firewall and it had no effect.

However, using Edge and searching for "ASRock Drivers" it shows me a link to the ASRock download page. When I put the "X370 Taichi" in the search box it takes me to a X370 Taichi page that also describes in great graphical detail the X370 Taichi features. This page is different than the one I described to wardog which showed in great graphical detail the acolytes for the M/B. I again searched for the X370 Taichi clicked on Support and got the Download list. I tried using IE11 and it would not go down the same path to success.

The page that works correctly on Edge is:
http://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/X370%20Taichi/index.asp

The page that works correctly on Edge and goes directly to the download information is:
http://www.asrock.com/MB/AMD/X370%20Taichi/index.us.asp#osW1064

The second link is what used to work on IE11. To add to my confusion and frustration very infrequently either link will work on IE11 - I guess depending on what status the Browser or Router was in at the time?

Somewhere along the line last week something changed that caused the bottom page/link to quit consistently working correctly on IE11. I tried to blame it on a MSFT update but I suspect changing the Router about that time may be the culprit! The old Router had various ports opened up along the way but I can't seem to figure out how to open a port on the new Tp-Link 1200 Router - if that is really the problem.

Thanks Ken429.  The router is another concern if it is not the Fire Wall.  Both links you presented led to both FTP and HTTP DLs.  Please use the second-I don't think browser should matter-the Asia/US is HTTP (lower left of screen when mouse over link) while the other two are FTP.  Please try all three and tell use which work and which don't.  Enjoy, John.

MisterJ,
The second link that goes directly to the download page works every time using Edge or Chrome. When I try the same link using IE11 it goes to the "acolyte loop page" for want of a better name. So I give up it's one more nail in the coffin for trusty old IEll.

I could re-install the old Router and verify if that is was what caused the problem to appear but it ain't worth the trouble. Just another unsolved IE11 mystery!

Thanks everybody for the responses, you forced me to find an acceptable solution. Hopefully, ASRock will continue to release updates for the X370 Taichi M/B that will resolve the remaining issues.

Ken429, I hope you are saying you can DL from all locations (Asia/US...).  If so, then you do not have an FTP problem as I suspected.  I tried IE11 and got some really strange results - probably the loops you describe.  I suggest you continue to stay away from IE and Edge, also.  I only use IE11 when I use the MS site Windows Update Catalog because it uses ActiveX and even Edge will not work.  I have not used MS browsers for several years now and am a happier person for it.  I looked at your router manual and it is very weird, but not the source of any problems, so no test needed with old router.  I have changed settings in several routers and do not like the modern trend to use a vendor web site to do the work.  It seems a direct mission to invade my privacy.  I prefer after market router firmware like http://www.polarcloud.com/tomato" rel="nofollow - Shibby's Tomato .  Enjoy, John.
