I have problems with the B150M-HDS motherboard and the I3-7100 processor.
The mother says it only accepts 6th generation and the processor is 7th generation. But when checking the CPU Support List, it says that it supports the P7.10 BIOS.
Can someone tell me if I just have to update the BIOS to work?
If so, how can I update it if it does not start?

Thank you

Dear Norcomputacion,

Thank you for contacting ASRock.

Regarding your question, B150M-HDS support BIOS Intel 7th generation CPU since BIOS P7.10.

If you got the B150M-HDS BIOS is before P7.10, please install the Intel 6th generation CPU to update BIOS, or contact the local distributor to help you update BIOS.

You can also contact ASRock Technical Support Dept., we will send you a new BIOS chip that with the latest BIOS version.

" rel="nofollow - Hello.  I submitted a ticket/issue a few minutes ago.  If it isn't difficult to switch out the chip, would it be possible to also receive an updated chip?  I just purchased and received the B150M-HDS and took a while to find information pointing to it being a 7th Generation CPU causing the board to not boot up and display on the HDMI or DVI.

Thank You,

Dave
