" rel="nofollow - I see no mention of port multiplier functionality for this board--does that mean it doesn't include that? Since this itx board has only one PCie socket which the video carn is usually in, a port multiplier would have to be external somehow. Thank you,

Intel SATA chipsets have never supported port multipliers. I've checked on this over the years several times for various chipsets in Intel's datasheets.
This is from the X99 datasheet, which contains multiple references to SATA port multipliers and their related registers, etc. I copied the two lines below from that document:
The PCH SATA controller does not support Port Multipliers.
The PCH sSATA controller does not support Port Multipliers.
