This problem happens only during the boot device selection menu. In BIOS setup everything runs fine. Also, after i disabled CSM, this problem doesn't occur. (Except that I see 3 blank entries in the boot options list)

Hoping GPU is not faulty.

" rel="nofollow - Quick question ............

Do you have a BD/DVD also? By chance is it on one of the ASMedia bottom two SATA ports SATA3_A1 or SATA3_A2 ports?

I have not connected any other SATA device. My Samsung EVO SSD is the only SATA device.

Also the three empty entries in the BIOS after disabling CSM look like this,

" rel="nofollow - This is my hardware list,

AsRock X370 Taichi
AMD Ryzen 1800X
G.Skill Trident Z 16 GB
Samsung EVO 1 TB
Corsair 750D Airflow Edition
Noctua NH-D15
Corsair RM650X
MSI GTX1080ti Gaming X

I am on bios 3.00. Also, this problem wasn't there at the beginning. After one reboot, i noticed this issue.

I found several other threads on similar problems and none of them have proper conclusions.

The graphical glitch happens with the following steps,

http://goo.gl/photos/4wBpmES5bd1iPz1b8" rel="nofollow - https://goo.gl/photos/4wBpmES5bd1iPz1b8

1. CSM is enabled in bios with everything in Legacy only.
2. Power on the CPU
3. Press F11 for boot device selection

The graphical glitch disappears (except for blank entries) for the following steps,

well either csm enabled or csm disabled both present normal graphics on mine when i select f11
(mine was actually still enabled by default)
but changing it has no effect except maybe the promised faster boot time.....i didnt notice

my system is not far different to yours
tachi with bios version 3
1700 cpu
samsung evo 960 nvme boot + samsung evo 850 sata data drive
my gpu is a rx480 though  ( do the OTHER users with the issue have nvidia cards or amd to try and see if its a glitch with gpu's)

" rel="nofollow - In the BIOS Advanced-Full HD UEFI option.  Have anyone tried enabling/disabling and see if that helps?  Enjoy, John.

I would also suggest trying a different interface on the video card.  I have noticed slightly different results with DP and HDMI interfaces.  Good luck, John.

With both disabled and auto option selected, the problem remains.

" rel="nofollow - Have you tried disconnecting all drives, clearing CMOS then testing without any drives attached?

I have the X370 Taichi in my personal system and I have not seen this issue on my setup.

You can also try a full CMOS clear as described here:

http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=630&title=how-to-clear-cmos-via-battery-removal

It should clear any corrupted values from the UEFI.

I have this issue as well, it just randomly appeared one day. I have flashed different Bios, played with the setting and tried 2 different gpus. The strange artifacts still remain.

If anyone else has this issue I recommend you just ignore it unless you experience performance issues along with it, because it hasn't really seemed to effect anything so far. Its probably just another graphical bug in the bios.

Trying to get rid of the artifacts is a bigger hassle than just hitting F2 instead of F11 and not worth the effort.

clear uefi boot cache (manually) and it will be gone
this happens if u toy with unsupported operating systems

go to bios, go to boot tab and u should see in there something like boot override, select efi shell,
u should see command line now
To dump a list of current boot entries:Shell> bcfg boot dump -v
remove all once by one
To remove the 1st boot option: Shell> bcfg boot rm 0
To remove the 2nd boot option: Shell> bcfg boot rm 1
and so on
