It sounds like your board's Marvell SE9230 chip that supports the HypoDuo Service does not have its driver installed, and possibly needs the Marvell MSU Utility installed too.

No Windows 10 drivers listed yet for that chipset on your board's download page, and Win 10 does not have a Marvell driver built into it.

You can try the Window 8.1 version of this driver from your board's download page:

http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20X79%20Champion/?cat=Download&os=Win8a64" rel="nofollow - http://www.asrock.com/mb/Intel/Fatal1ty%20X79%20Champion/?cat=Download&os=Win8a64

The Marvell driver was installed at some point for your Windows 7 installation, but seems to have been removed or replaced with the wrong driver during the Win 10 installation. Check Windows Programs and Features to see if the Marvell SATA driver and MTU software are still there.

Otherwise, the three things you listed as updated have nothing to do with the Marvell SATA chipset.

Use Windows 8.i 64 bit MSU

It says SSD not found, clicking on Adaptior 0> Operation> Create HyperDuo = No SSD reported: but this SSD drive shows below, SSD drive is connected and works etc...

Windows updates do not fix

Someone suggest BIOS 2.10 Beta as a fix, not tried yet

I've noticed when using newer Intel chipset boards, that it may take two or more boots for some SSDs to be recognized by Windows, etc, even if they are recognized in the BIOS.

Did you try the Marvell 9230 RAID Configuration in the BIOS/UEFI, in the Storage Configuration screen?

That should function independently of the OS you are using.

Installed UEFI L2.62 Beta, but no fix

Create RAID says : There are no available disks for creating.

I cleaned off HyperDuo..

All Drives seen as normal drives in Windows 10 if Marvell BIOS not set up, also shows on the left of the MSU:

Testing the SSD, (in windows 10), formatted it to copy a file over to make sure it was working, then did Ctrl+M, on bootup for Marvel BIOS are re-settup SSD/HDD drives "Initialising", Function", etc all seemed to work OK as expected in Marvel BIOS...

Went back to MSU Windows 7 which just looks better, displays more, than Win 8.1 MSU to me...

Still the same

In MSU ss if no SSD and HDD  drive is seen under MSU on the left but not on the right:

Below http://localhost:8845/MSU/JumpPage.php?Target=MarvellStoragePage&reqID=120544#" rel="nofollow - Physical Disk: port 0 is the SSD drive.../

http://localhost:8845/MSU/JumpPage.php?Target=MarvellStoragePage&reqID=120544#" rel="nofollow - Physical Disk: port 1

SSD It is not seen in Windows after Marvell BIOS this is normal for this, but it should show in the MSU

but it shows on the left, as shown above, of MSU Windows 7 version, but no drive on Create HyperDuo / or RAID in MSU

Looks lie a fault, bug, with Windows 10, and with the MSU to me. (Unix server?)

Thanking You very much

As you see Marvell Configuration in the BIOS/UEFI,Ctrl+M worked well

After Delete HyperDuo in MSU initialising in MSU now.. (will take about 1/2 hour)

So waiting to see what happens: This shows SSD/HDD ... waiting for HyperDuo in MSU initialising in MSU now.

I had similar issue.

I had to uninstall and reinstall the MSU and it came back; the software sucks.

Also, you *MUST* run as "administrator" to have the software run the HyperDuo Service, even if you have UAC turned off.

This is more for Google than anyone else -

I am using several Marvell 9230 controllers (SYBA SI-PEX40064/StarTech PEXSAT34RH) and was unable to reliably get the "HyperDuo Service" to display in the left-hand tree menu, although on initial login the accelerator page displays correctly and is inaccessible if you ever click on another menu category.

My workaround is as follows - it should work with any modern version of MSU:

  1. Navigate to MarvellRaidPage.tpl
    Default location: C:\Program Files (x86)\Marvell\storage\smarty\templates\MarvellRaidPage.tpl

  2. Edit line 54, changing the value "width=265" to "width=400", i.e:
    <tr><td width="400">

  3. Add the following after line 59:
    <td class="textIndent0 commonButtSS" width="100"><a href="#" class="buttonChar" onClick="MarvellRaidDetail.runUrl('JumpPage.php?Target=getAccelerator')">{t}HyperDuo{/t}</a></td>

  4. Enjoy!

You should now have a button on the top next to "Rescan" labelled "HyperDuo" as pictured below:

It's not the prettiest, but it works.

(It's prettier if you use a 4-5 letter word instead of "HyperDuo", but I could not mention the word I use in place of "HyperDuo" in polite company.)

Cheers,

Expat
