" rel="nofollow - Just bought my ASRock Killer SLI x370 and GSKILL Ripjaws V 2x8 16GB (F4-3000C15D-16GVRB) and want to be able to clock it to 3000/2933mhz. Would this be possible?

Also when overclocking should I just do manually or use xmp 2.0?

well an online search seems to indicate the ram is hynix m dies (not the best for ryzen fastest speeds)
but the later bios revisions are helping a lot here
my advice would be to try the xmp setting first and see what happens

if it fails reset the cmos
and try entering them manually
but be warned the ryzen/amd bios dosnt seem to like 'odd' numbers for the timings
so you might have to run at cl16 (eg 16/16/16/16/35 or something)
also if the option is there on your motherboard raise the SOC volts to 1.1volt and make sure the ram is at 1.35 volts (you may also need to tickle this up to 1.375 volts for stability)

" rel="nofollow - Running it at CL16, will that allow me to clock it to 2933/3000 MHz still?

it will make it easier for the ram to clock to 2933

this is how ram works

higher speed needs looser/higher timings
