" rel="nofollow - Status: UNRESOLVED Computer Type:Desktop, custom built GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 SC GAMING, 06G-P4-6163-KR, 6GB GDDR5, ACX 2.0 (Single Fan) CPU: Intel - Core i5-4590 3.3GHz Quad-Core Processor, no overclock Motherboard: Asrock H97M-ITX/ac RAM: Corsair - Vengeance Pro 16GB (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866 Memory PSU: Corsair - CX 500W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply Operating System & Version: Windows 10 pro build 1703, 15063.608 64bit, clean install GPU Drivers: 385.41 WHQL, clean install Description of Problem: I get A2 error on boot and then a black screen on my monitor as the windows 10 login screen should appear.I also get a device disconnection sound right before it goes black. I am replacing an Asus - GeForce GTX 970 4GB STRIX Video Card that also had been giving the A2 error on boot, it was assumed that card was bad an so the new card was purchased. Troubleshooting: I have reset the CMOS by jumper switch around and by battery removal (10 minutes not 4 hours). I have updated my BIOS from 1.8 to 1.9. I have disabled my IGPU driver in device manager. I have reinstalled windows 10 pro and re tried install of GPU. I have tried installing two latest Nvidia 10 series drivers 385.41WHQL and 385.28 and also an old once stable driver 375.95. I have tested my RAM with MemTest86 and gotten no errors.
I am beginning to think my motherboard has done damage to my video cards and or is damaged itself. Any suggestions?
