" rel="nofollow - I cannot find the setting in my BIOS to disable Cool'n'Quiet.  Does the ASRock X399 even have Cool'n'Quiet or is it just another missing function in the down level BIOS/AGESA?  Thanks and enjoy, John.

John, I don't know the answer to your question, but I have an inquiry in at a source that ought to have a definitive answer. I don't have an X399 board.

I forget if you have (had) a Ryzen board, but the Cool n Quiet option in the UEFI of ASRock AM4 boards is in the Advanced, CPU Configuration screen. The C6 C State option is also in that screen. Global C-State Control is in the AMD CBS\Zen Common Options screen.

I can only refer to your board's manual, which is already out of date given the UEFI updates it has. I'm sure you would have found Cool n Quiet already if it was in the CPU Configuration screen, or elsewhere.

I'll be a bit surprised if it is not used with Threadripper. Perhaps core down-clocking is only done via PStates on Threadripper, but that is simply a thought.

Thanks, parsec.  I can find no reference to Cool'n'Quiet in my X399 manuals.  I do have a X370 system and it definitely has the ability to Disable Cool'n'Quiet and C6.  I did not see a disable for C6 in my X399, but then I was not looking for it.  The CPU clock is definitely varying, so I assume it has Cool'n'Quiet or the equivalent in TR. Hopefully we'll some BIOS updates soon.  Thanks and enjoy, John.
