" rel="nofollow - Hello, my system post time is extremely long, 10 seconds for the monitor to activate.
I've upgraded to the latest bios but no help.

Can this be fixed with a future bios update?
In any case I really like this board but I need to resolve this issue, it's making my usage really hard.

Thanks.

Dear pearpark,

Greetings, this is ASRock TSD.

There are a lot of reasons to make boot time difference.

First, it may relate to OS drive volume and device.
If booting with HDD device, the boot time would longer than SSD.
The volume will also influence the boot time.

Second, it may relate to the files which are in OS drive device.
The more files or software put in this drive, it would take more time to boot.

Third, the other devices connected to the system would also cause this symptom.
The more devices such as USB devices, SATA devices, PS/2 devices and so on connected to the system, BIOS would take more time to boot.

Hence, we would like to provide some suggestions for verifying:
1. Please refer to the user manual (page.25) from the link below to clear CMOS to try. (Please shut down the AC power)

2. Please remove SATA devices and USB devices from the system to check boot time.
3. Please only install SSD/HDD, CPU, VGA card and one stick memory for checking the result.
4. If possible, please boot into another HDD with clean OS to verify.

Thanks!

All the best,
ASRock TSD
