" rel="nofollow - Has anybody upgraded to the latest windows 10 fall creators (build 1709) update?

I'm seeing the problems with the latest intel hd graphics here that lead to the logonui.exe crash or BSOD during boot.

I have filled a support request but may be somebody has worked it around somehow?

I have no work around for you, sorry to say. Not even sure yet if this is a known, common issue with the J3455 system from Intel and Windows 10 Build 1709. There are many Intel processors that use the same HD 500 graphics that your CPU has, and the same Intel graphics driver is used by many other Intel graphics processors. We have not seen other threads about this yet.

Was your 1709 installation an update of an existing Win 10 installation, or a fresh, new installation?

So you get a BSOD when booting Win 10 1709, or a crash if it does boot, which are consistent and make the PC unusable?

If you can boot into Windows 10 1709 for a while, you can try uninstalling the Intel graphics driver you have installed now, restart the PC, and whatever graphics driver Windows 10 1709 provides for the Intel HD 500 graphics will be installed.

The best I can offer you is the latest video driver from Intel for the HD Graphics 500, which you may already be using, but we have no idea specifically which version you are using:

The latest UEFI/BIOS version for your board has fixes for some video issues that were released earlier in Beta UEFI versions:

You submitted a support request with whom, ASRock?

I understand that you are asking for advice from others that own the same mother board as you do. But ASRock or any other mother board manufacture only has limited involvement with the majority of the drivers as software used with a PC. The Intel graphics driver comes solely from Intel, no mother board manufacture creates or supports those programs. They simply pass them on from the source, in this case Intel. Then Microsoft provides a major update to their product, Windows 10, that causes issues with some hardware and/or software. The mother board manufacture can only pass along to Microsoft and Intel any information about issues like this.

My point is, it is very difficult or impossible for ASRock to provide a fix for issues like this when they are not directly involved with the things that are causing the problem. For example, when Windows 10 was first released, a feature of Intel networking chips called teaming no longer worked. Teaming worked with Windows 7, 8, and 8.1 fine, and still does. But teaming with Windows 10 still does not work as it has in the past, even though Intel claims it should with their most recent driver updates. If Intel cannot fix their own software that was caused by something Microsoft did, what can a mother board manufacture do?

Reporting your issue to Intel is really the best thing you can do. You could do that in their support forum, and follow the guidelines on this page provided by Intel:

Link to the Intel Graphics forum:

There is a sticky thread in that forum about issues with Windows 10 Creators update and the Intel graphics driver, which might be helpful to you.
