Hey crew:

Here's what I have.

ASRock Fatal1ty X370 Pro Gaming mobo running the LATEST BIOS version 3.10
AMD RYZEN 1700X
32GB Corsair Vengeance @ 2666/32GB GSkill TridentZ @ 3200 (I am NOT using both at the same time!)

Problem:
With either brand of RAM installed, the bios does recognize 32GB of mem. Once booted in to Windows 10 PRO, the system is showing 32GB installed, but only 16GB is usable.

I've done a tone of research and nothing I've come across has helped.

One thing I noticed is when I install one at a time in any one slot, the computer does not post. It just shuts off, and turns back on over and over.

Bad motherboard? I've read it could be the CPU too... not sure. I did check it for bent pins, etc. All good.

Take a look at the image links below. BIOS is also reading... "Single channel mode"....

" rel="nofollow - dorgbot, this usually means a bad slot or bad memory stick.  I would suggest you get in contact with ASRock support (ticket) and ask about an RMA.  If you have two sticks plugged (what slots?) and see half the memory, then pull out one stick, you get boot/power loop?  If you tried the same experiment with the other stick, you also get the same?  Please post a more complete set of specifications in your signature as I have.  Enjoy, John.

EDIT:  Should have pointed out that ASRock BIOS allows screenshots.  Plug in a FAT formatted USB stick and hit F12.

Thanks for the response. Slots 2 and 4 is where I have them plugged into. Correct, IF I remove one stick, the boot loop starts occurring. This happens with both brands of RAM.

Posted my specs for future reference.

I just purchased the hardware last week, So I will deal with Newegg on a replacement board.

Thanks!
