" rel="nofollow - This is my first asrock board so i do not know if it is normal. But is the red light (called led001) Right beside the display (Dr.Debug) Suppose to be lit all the time?? It is really bright and it do crash with the lighting theme i got going. Is there anyway to turn it off? The system is working fine (oc 8700k, but same at stock). Using the latest bios (Beta 1.16, but same with stock 1.10). Tried to reset bios and re-seated memory and gpu incase it is a error light of some sort. As far as I am aware it indicates what BIOS ROM is in use and can't be turned off. I stuck a small cutout of electrical tape over it so it doesn't ruin my LED color scheme. Nice thick electrical tape cut to the shape of the buttons on the board will take care of the power and reset lights too. As far as I know (and tried with my Z270 Gaming K6) the only way to turn off the button LEDs is to turn off all the lighting for the board, not ideal if you are using the onboard RGB headers. Thank you for the reply. Ok, i have now put a bit of black tape  over the led. Will have to cut some better and put some over the reset and power button as well. To be the top of the line motherboard i do find that i miss many things that even my z97 asus deluxe had and this do not. But i presume something like a dark mode can be added in a bios update. Assuming the Fatal1ty Z370 Professional Gaming i7 board. Your board has dual UEFI/BIOS chips, one main and one backup. The red LED is the UEFI/BIOS indicator LED, which shows which UEFI chip is currently active. It is not an error display of any kind. It is normal for it to be on constantly by default. I'm not 100% sure these options will cause this LED and all the other LEDs to turn off, but here they are: In the UEFI/BIOS, Advanced\Chipset Configuration screen, find the Deep Sleep option. It is disabled by default. Try setting it to S5. That's S5, not 55. Then in the same screen, find the Turn On LED in S5 option, and set it to Off. Please let us know if this works for you. It may not be possible for a UEFI/BIOS option to turn off these LEDs. There must be a switch of some kind in their circuit for that to happen, and if that does not exist, they cannot be turned off. ------------- http://valid.x86.fr/48rujh" rel="nofollow">
