" rel="nofollow - Hi There,

I got a question about the H81 Pro BTC rev 2 and usings risers.

My setup is as follows:

H81 pro btc rev 2 mainboard
6x gtx 1070 ti
6x POWERED usb risers

So basically my question is, what setup should I use:

A) usings powered USB risers and connect the 2 molex powercables to the mobo
B) use powered USB risers and NOT connect the 2 molex powercables to the mobo
C) us NON powered risers and use the 2 molex powercables on the mobo

There is nothing about this in the manual and on other forums the awnser is mixed. Few say NOT to used powered risers and use only the two molex on the motherboard. Others says you should use risers and both molex.

I did use powered risers and the two molex on the montherboard. But when installing more then 2 video cards widows freezes and gives me a black screen. With 1 videocard everything works fine.

Any advice on this?

I'm having almost the exact same issue! 1 card works fine. Multiple cards, I get an error from Windows telling me it can't find enough resources for the 2nd card (error Code 12)

The official response from Asrock is to use the 2 molex on the motherboard and powered risers. Can confirm this works ok.

If your cards cannot find enough resources in Windows you need to disable the Audio device in device manager. For each card a new audio device will be installed.
