" rel="nofollow - I went to here https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/AB350M%20Pro4/index.asp#BIOS
to download the latest BIOS but when I try to use the Instant-Flash in the BIOS menu, it scanned my thumb drive but said nothing was found. The file I downloaded is named AB35PR44.10.
I wonder if I'm getting the right file, because when I looked at the help (https://www.asrock.com/support/BIOSIG.asp?cat=BIOS8), the screenshot say the file is a .exe.
Please let me know exactly how to flash the file.

" rel="nofollow - nel, please post your specifications in your signature as I have. You have DLed the correct file: AB35PR44.10. Here are the hash codes for the file:
CRC32: 5DC963DB MD5: 7590A952A9763C8825C672730E3C79F1 SHA-1: B530DD65C7E22B557FECC61A93E81977B323E2EB SHA-256: C86563E93DA161B2597D0F0AFF06255ABFF31297CD5DB8596D5607EE369D5445 SHA-512: F726000010B23DCA040BC4D6DE2081BD267FC5A58683386741CBEA018CB9521659B37DEA5607F6ED462F804B7F1956B6CC5583ACD5F7B69CD6B97052CB0C8D82
| Please check yours. It should NOT be an .exe file. What is the format of your USB stick? Did you do a safe removal after copying the file to the USB? Did you do what was instructed in the DL page in RED.
* Before updating this BIOS, please update the BIOS to P3.30 firstly. | Enjoy, John.

" rel="nofollow - Thanks for your quick reply. I saw that notice and did the 3.3 flash but with Windows. I just looked at this page https://www.asrock.com/support/BIOSIG.asp?cat=Windows9
I did get to a screen like this: https://www.asrock.com/support/images/BIOSUI-Win9-3.jpg but I think I didn't see a step like this: https://www.asrock.com/support/images/BIOSUI-Win9-4.jpg
So, I'm actually not 100% sure if that was successful or not.
Which check sum generator do you use? I used this one: http://onlinemd5.com/
but the codes generated are different. I get: MD5: 61782076348CCA23AD7E4C0DD6D17F51 SHA1: 9583BAF88531F521CFBB8FC90D55AD9EC3AA32B4
I just did a fresh download on my desktop and did a unzip and ran the checker again, and I still get the same values as what I got from the file already put on my thumbdrive.
BTW, I will be away from my ryzen 5 machine in question for a couple of weeks, so I could only come back to flashing the bios again after a while.

nel, NEVER use Windows to flash a BIOS. Why ASRock even posts
that file, I do not know. Only use the Instant Flash via the BIOS. I use hashtab ( http://implbits.com/products/hashtab/" rel="nofollow - http://implbits.com/products/hashtab/ ), which gives valid values.
Your method is giving bad hashes. I tried it on my DLed file and got the same values as you - wrong! The latest 7-Zip also has a Hash Code generator, but please stop using onlinemd5. Open an Administrator command prompt and type systeminfo. Look through the output and you will find the BIOS version. Right or wrong, please re-flash 3.30 using Instant Flash. You were lucky you did not brick your board! Post when you have time and I will respond. Enjoy, John.

Hi MisterJ, I was able to flash 3.3 from 3.0 and that did the trick for getting the right close-to-100% CPU usage. :)
