Good morning, I have the MX800 Logitech Wireless Keyboard/mouse, pressing the delete key upon restarting the computer (ASRock z370 Motherboard) does not allow me to enter the UEFI Bios (keyboard works fine in windows). If I plug in an old school wired usb keyboard the delete key does work and I am able to enter the bios. The z370 board only has USB 3.0 connections, is there a setting that I can enable so that I can enter the Bios with my wireless keyboard? Thanks for any help.

I think there might be some BIOS setting that covers your scenario but I don't have time to check the name of it right now. In the meantime, you can install ASRock's "Restart to UEFI" app available from your mobo's download page that does what it says, no key hitting required. |

I have the same problem: No wireless keyboard/mouse can access BIOS. I had to dig up a 20-year old wired Acer 6511. Let me walk you through. New rig comprised of a Z170 Extreme6, Intel Core i5-6500 and 2x8 GB Kingston HyperX DDR4-2400 modules in a Phanteks Enthoo Pro case. Nothing else. I haven't even connected the tower's cables. The only fan spinning is the CPU's (stock cooler). No need to, as I'm currently checking for faulty components (running Memtest86 etc). Now, I have a few keyboards/mice lying around, all Logitech. http://https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/wireless-combo-mk520" rel="nofollow - K520 (Keyboard & mouse set), http://https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/keyboard-k360" rel="nofollow - K360 (keyboard only), as well as 2 mice ( http://https://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/wireless-mouse-m510" rel="nofollow - M510 & http://https://www.logitech.com/en-roeu/product/wireless-mouse-m560" rel="nofollow - M560 ). The motherboard's USB ports are working fine with flash drives but fail when it comes to the aforementioned peripherals. I went through the UEFI Advanced/USB Configuration and tried enabling/disabling "Legacy USB support", PS/2 Simulator and "Third party USB 3.1 controller" to no avail. I also tried plugging the dongles ("Unifying Receivers") in different ports - all but the 3.1 ones. Still nothing. This is so, SO frustrating! Am I doing something wrong? It's not like have fancy, gaming models. They're just *regular* wireless keyboards/mice intended for the average user. M510 mouse is pretty old too. It's been around for ages... Please, PLEASE advise.  P.S. Flashing to the latest BIOS (v2.60 -> v7.40) didn't help. |

Well, I finally figured it out. I went ahead and connected every single cable in the case, including the USB 2.0 headers. That did the trick, or so I think... While searching for a solution I stumbled upon a user, actually lots of users, claiming USB 2.0 ports are preferable when it comes to keyboards and mice. Less compatibility issues at the same performance. Anyhow, I plugged Logitech's dongle into a 2.0 port (case's front panel) and it just worked. Here's the BIOS settings in case someone's need them.  |
