Subject: New Build Ram Issue

My new build will not boot with the reccomended dual ram slot configuration. It will only boot with one RAM stick inserted into the A1 slot. After I attempt to use dual slot ram configuraton, the system will no longer boot even with one RAM stick until I remove all components from the motherboard and reset CMOS. I have downloaded the latest BIOS version and latest drivers.

Being new go pc building, there are some things that I'm not sure about and that are difficult to find information on, hence while I'm posting here. I have contacted technical support but haven't gotten a reply within 24 hours.

Things I don't know:
1. Do I need to set the RAM speed and voltage to a certain number on the BIOS? From what I've gathered from the internet, I believe it should boot fine it it's standard configuration.
2. I believe this RAM is compatible with my motherboard. It is listed on the ASROCK website as being compatable, as well as being reccomended by pcpartpicker to be a good match for this setup. However, the RAM compatability list a but confusing to comprehend and I've seen different interpretations of how to read it online. I'd like to know if this RAM is truly compatible in dual slot ram configuration.

We provide some suggestion for you to try.

1.       Please install one stick memory on each slot to try if system can boot up at XMP mode.

2.       Please install another stick memory to each slot to try.

3.       Install two memory modules on A2, B2 slots to try.

4.       Because the memory controller is inside the CPU, please reinstall the CPU and check if the CPU socket pin is fine.

Thank you!

Yours truly,

ASRock TSD
