" rel="nofollow - I've set up my mining rig with just 8 cards so far, 4 GTX 1070, 4 GTX 1080. I'm trying to install ubuntu but I can't.

When I go to the BIOS settings I see that the default display is from PCIE2, but the system never recognises anything on that. But if I plug the video cable into the onboard adapter then I can see the bios. So at least I get a display, and can then see that the default display is PCIE2, which doesn't seem to work.

But if I select to boot from a USB UEFI device, which holds my Ubuntu setup, then and exit then it starts installing from the USB stick, I can get the Ubuntu install menu. I select install Ubuntu, and then I get a blank screen, forever (well until I gave up and rebooted).

I'm stuck. If I can't install Ubuntu where do I go from here?
