Just built a brand-new Ryzen gaming rig.  AB350 PRO4 motherboard.  Ram is 4 sticks of  g.skill flare x part F4-2400C15D-16GFX.)  System POSTs fine.  Going into BIOS shows all 4 sticks for a total of 32GB.  Yet multiple operating systems are showing only 16GB of usable RAM.  Windows 10 calls the other 16GB as "reserved for hardware".  Linux and memtest86 also show 16GB of usable memory.  The RAM is on the asrock QVL, but I note they only tested it with 2 parts.  There is nothing obvious (to me at least) in the limited information the BIOS is presenting.  I don't really *need* 32GB of RAM, so if this is unfixable, I will return 2 of the sticks, but I would dearly love to resolve this.  I have confirmed the BIOS is the latest and greatest.  CPU-Z shows 32GB RAM in dual channel mode.  Any hints, tips or clues welcome.  Thanks!

" rel="nofollow - does the bios show it as dual channel 32gb?
have you tried reseating all ram sticks ? (this is a common error when they dont fully sit in)
are you using latest bios ?
have you tried resetting default to 2133mhz for ram?

" rel="nofollow - What CPU do you use? Maybe there is a buggy option in UEFI, which is reserving the rest for the iGPU?

Check every option in UEFI and tweak those that appear somewhat relevant to your issue.

1. BIOS is showing as single channel.
2. No.  I foolishly assumed their showing up meant I'd seated them correctly :)
3. Yes.
4. Yes - took longer to POST and had reset back to 2400.

I will try reseating the sticks now, thanks!

I'm using a ryzen, so no iGPU at all.  Very few UEFI options I can see - nothing looks germane.

one of the sticks must not have been 100% seated.  i pushed in at both ends and the middle on all 4 sticks.  i didn't *feel* any motion, but powering up into BIOS showed dual channel mode.  windows now shows 32GB of ram.  thanks again :)

One of those cases, eh? Pinch

Moral of the story - never assume!

I'm glad it worked out at the end. Cheers! Beer
