Hello, I'm new here, I recently bought the mobo in the subject, my problem or doubt is that when I was unpacking it I grabbed or pushed the Super Alloy power chokes (I think, the silver/metallic part above the CPU slot in the pic below, the ones that are 2, the one I talked above the cpu and the one to the left of the CPU in the picture), and it kind of moved a bit, which I in turn put back in place. Would that give or make problems for the mobo?

Haven't even connected the mobo to the power supply because of that.

Thanks in advance

They are secured by spring clips, it's quite normal that they can flex/move a little when handled. The thermal pads used are foamy feeling and allow a fair amount of give/movement before becoming damaged/ineffective. While not as effective as thermal paste/direct contact solutions it does work well and is much less likely to be damaged in handling. This is a compromise all manufacturers make to avoid damage to heatsink covered components as well as eliminate issues where multiple chips being covered of slightly varying heights are not left without cooling. The thermal pad is a versatile solution that can take quite a beating without ceasing to function.

So long as none of the spring clips had popped out you should be absolutely fine Wink

If a clip was out then do yourself a favor and for your peace of mind return it to the store to be checked or replaced. It is easy to check for professionals, which by your post I am guessing you are not. Better safe than sorry Wink

Basically, I don't think you have anything to worry about, even a popped out clip isn't usually a problem unless some (large) debris got between the thermal pads and corresponding chips. Thermal pads are pretty bulletproof Wink
