Just bought a new setup:
ASROCK Z370 K6 Mobo
CoffeeLake i7-8700K 3.7Ghz
2 x Corsair Vengeance PC3200 CMU32GX4M2C3200C16 (Listed on Asrock K6 Memory QVL)

Upgraded BIOS to P1.40

At default settings, the RAM is being recognized as a DDR4-2166.
Using CPU-Z, Northbridge frequency goes up to 4KMhz+, but memory speed is only at 10xx+.

When i turned on XMP under easy mode to Profile 1:
-> Takes 10 seconds for restart, and prompted with "system failed to boot several times before" message.
-> Memory still detected and ran as 2166Mhz

When i go into advanced mode to set the timings manually:
-> XMP Profile to 1
-> Speed to 100Mhz
-> Select DDR3200
-> Set Latency Timings
-> Still the same thing above happens, "system failed to boot several times before" on reboot.
-> Still detected at 2166.

When i turn everything to Auto
-> Boots fine without "system failed to boot several times before" message

Need Help. Don't wanna have had spent extra bucks on 3200 memory to go to waste.

" rel="nofollow - Have you tried booting with a single stick at a time and setting the XMP profile to rule out memory issues? IIRC, all you should really need to do is set the xmp profile and the speed (well, I did anyway but I'm pretty sure it'll just set once you reboot with the XMP profile), other things will automatically set themselves upon a reboot.

Take out one stick - that's a good idea. I'll do so tonight.

in fact, i'll also try the 2nd channel as well.

Thank! i'll post findings (hopefully conclusive ones) once i'm done.
