Released TODAY 1/16/2018 New "Bridge BIOS" 3.50 to flash prior to upgrading to the new 4.50 "Update AGESA for upcoming processors."
I'm not gonna touch these. Waiting on the microcode updates and websites testing their performance impact on X370 Ryzen systems prior to flashing.

just flashed it - my gflaresx can now boot with 3333 instead of 3200, but now its unstable at 3200 which wasnt before. Memtest64
also dram voltage change is not working so i'm locked at 1.35 which probably is the cause of 3200mhz instability

Nothing new. Some options for the pcie. The voltage of the dram is reset when entering bios at 1.35v and the pstates continue to fail.

for pstates you need to alter the oc mode to amd cbs, but then ram timings are fucked
thats a mess

went back to 3.40
this bios(4.50) is a mess:
DRAM voltage change doesnt carry over from bios to windows to get pstate oc you need to switch the oc mode to amd cbs but then you lose xmp settings manual timings are mixed with hex or some sh*t couldnt get anything stable out of this bios which works with 3.40 but bios stability, ie not having to jumperreset once was good

Thanks everyone for testing and reporting back!
I personally wouldn't touch new ASRock releases until at least a few months, and positive feedback of some brave souls!

I confirm it. Pstates work well with amd cbs but the ram does not.

Great work, all the posters! Please, please all of you open a ticket with ASRock and report your observations. If you believe AGESA is at fault, please also open a ticket with AMD Support. Thank you for your great work! Enjoy, John.

I have set p0 to 3.8 using AMD CBS and set manually my RAM to 2933 . the p state is working just fine no issue with rams also. the weird thingy is that windows task manager is reporting 4.4 ghz max cpu speed on all 12 threads while stressed.

windows task manager uses some weird timings on it...hence its almost never true what u see on overclocked systems just ignore it and use something more decent (aida64,hwinfo64,cpu-z,etc)

I used timing 14 14 14 28 2933 with xmp no problem. When I used the same with amd cbs changed it to 20 20 20 53 :S

well in CBS 0x14 = 20 which is what u did :) for 14t u will need to put 0xE...its a hex
and i got today 4.5 bios too (fatal1ty gaming X) yaaay so far everything looks good ddr voltage is ok ram timing is ok ram frequency is higher then it used to be (bios 3.4 was 3200mhz max with lots of cold boot reboots, 2933 was only stable, atm quick test with 3266 without any cold boot issues, timings was on auto, so i got bsod at windows boot, so its only matter of timings, 3133 with xmp settings, memtest 100% pass) no more cold boot reboots! i love it :)
during weeked ill have few days time so i can put some ram overclock into test :) but it looks promissing :)

voltage seem to be working as intended u know..if u change oc mode to cbs u shouldnt look at voltage inside oc page...right? go advanced page/amd pbs and here u have your mem vttio (its ddr voltage offset) and other stuffs

There is no way that another voltage takes me the dram, only 1.35v although I change the values. Does anyone know anything about it?

My taichi x370 is still @3.2 Bios and I can`t find any update.
Would be nice to get my 3200 memory working with more than 2800 at its original timings and my crucial mx200 drives are still not working on all sata ports even with newest firmware on the ssd.

Memory oc seems to have improved a bit for me with 4.50 i can now run 2666mhz at 17 19 19 40 at 2T using this kit of mem CMU16GX4M2C3000C15
2400mhz was max before on 3.40 and nothing more no matter the timings, or voltage. so i guess thats a good thing. but still not the rated 3000mhz

main timings shouldnt matter much mainboard doin poor job with subtimings can u show me your ddr4 settings? maybe we could get it higher than 2666 as u have single sided ram kits which should overclock better then mine (unless u have 4 kits) i have dual sided 2x16GB rated at 3200, mobo qvl max 2933..same result with bios default sub timings...manualy setting sub timings got me to 3133 which is super stable and much faster :) at 3200+ i cant even post with only xmp timings (subtimings all on auto) 3333 is max where i can post with manual sub timings, but still 3200+ is unstable (but im getting closer) also another question, u do use a2/b2 slots right?

as kerboros has said ,your ram should be able to get much more than it is allthough this corsair isnt the best for ryzen ,by now its should be pretty close to its rated settings with later bios versions
may i suggest using the ryzen ram calculator a lot of us use ? you basically extract witha p[rogram your rams programmed settings and enter them into another program that auto corrects them to work with the am4 systems ,you then print this opff and manually enter the timings into your own bios

Can confirm. Since the 4.50 update Task Manager is reporting the incorrect base speed. 3.39 on a 3.8 OC.

Same goes for changing a lot of other options. Turn on the speaker beep? No post, sorry. Jumper reset. You want to turn off CSM for a faster boot time? Also no, and I'm sure you're getting the trend of what happened.

CMOS has been reset several times - it requires it to be done when it fails to boot. And it's not that it's corrupt. If that were the case, then nothing would work. There's not even any OC going on, simply changing options will throw it into a POST fail (Or whatever it means when it hangs up on one code each time)

You see the WLAN under CBS Options, right?
Begin by listing out the case, no. and size(s) of case fans, memory and the slo(s) they reside in, the psu and
its age, what cpu cooler.

I think so? It's like 1 AM and I don't feel like turning my main rig back on, haha.
Case: Phanteks P400s CPU: Ryzen 1600x Cooler: Mugen Scythe 2x 120mm front fan, 1x 120mm back fan, 1x 120mm top fan 2x8GB G-Skill DDR4 B-Die memory GPU: GTX 1080 PSU: Corsair TX750m, 2017 model, age under 1 yr
Note that everything is stable if I just don't change anything in BIOS... no crashes or anything otherwise.

either u need to reset cmos also with unplugged baterry, or bios is corrupted and u will need to reflash it

CMOS has been reset several times - it requires it to be done when it fails to boot. And it's not that it's corrupt. If that were the case, then nothing would work. There's not even any OC going on, simply changing options will throw it into a POST fail (Or whatever it means when it hangs up on one code each time) |

2400mhz was max before on 3.40 and nothing more no matter the timings, or voltage. so i guess thats a good thing. but still not the rated 3000mhz

as kerboros has said ,your ram should be able to get much more than it is allthough this corsair isnt the best for ryzen ,by now its should be pretty close to its rated settings with later bios versions
may i suggest using the ryzen ram calculator a lot of us use ? you basically extract witha p[rogram your rams programmed settings and enter them into another program that auto corrects them to work with the am4 systems ,you then print this opff and manually enter the timings into your own bios

They're not plugged into the motherboard. Only the CPU fan is. The others are on a fan controller that is in no way plugged into the motherboard.

Did you try reflashing? You seemed adamant about your bios not being corrupt, but it seems so. Any update?
