Regarding your question, the system can work without any fan connect to the motherboard. Note: The fan connector on the motherboard will monitor the motherboard and CPU temperature to change the fan speed.

Thank you for your answer and help. The only reason I'm doing this is due to the fact I need 3 more fans than the motherboard supports. since I will be controlling fans with the Commander Pro I might as well control them all with it.
