Hello! This starts to become annoying! Why do we keep seeing "Call Girl Dubai" posts on this forum? These posts get deleted, then they reappear! Obviously there needs to be a team of people that reads & filtrates inappropriate stuff like that! |

I hear you, I am furious with the situation too. I am the only moderator here. I delete frequently over 1000 of these posts a day. I can't be watching the forum 24 hours a day. The only way to stop it would be to make the sign up process difficult for our legitimate members. If I were to ask ASRock to turn on post approval for new members then a lot of people coming to the forums for help would be discouraged, especially if they sign up and have to wait 8 hours or so while I am asleep for their post to be approved and shown on the forums. There are hundreds of spammers constantly trying to pollute the forums with call girl and crypto spam. It's even worse when people report every single post, then I have to deal with clearing out my inbox as well as deleting the offending spam. It's incredibly frustrating. More moderators wouldn't help much, you have no idea how persistent these spammers are. For every call girl post you see I have probably deleted over 100 accounts, typically 5 posts per account. Thanks for your concern, it should die down again in a little while. Their attacks tend to come in waves that last for a month or so. -------------

Man! Xaltar, you are a hero! I didn't know how bad it is. I hope you'll find a solution to the problem. But, I don't get it: Do people from Dubai visit this forum so often, to make it worth it for these spammers to post? |

I think they just get paid some small amount per post they make by some shady company doing the "advertising". Because this forum doesn't block VPN usage it is targeted. VPN blocking is very difficult on a forum like this, it requires constant updating and management. Unfortunately, that can only be done by ASRock as it would require back end access to the forums which, understandably, they wouldn't want to give to someone that isn't an ASRock employee. Blocking VPNs would also cause user backlash. There is a lot involved that makes this kind of spam a real issue to deal with. Thanks for the concern, members like you are why I do this. This is a community that exists to help each other and work out issues. That is what I do my best to preserve. We have some very helpful and dedicated forum members here that give their time, for free, to help others. That is what I love about communities like this. Nothing is more enjoyable than being a part of a community that positively impact's people's lives. -------------
