" rel="nofollow - I'm OCing my Ryzen 1600 on my AB350 Pro4 without disabling core performance boost which is totally hidden anyways. Does it get disabled when I take manual control of voltage and clocks or do I have to disable this myself or can I leave it enabled during OCing?

My understanding is that when you take manual control of clock and voltages you are overriding the automatic optimisations and the speed you've selected is the speed all cores will run. So you lose the ability for a single core to spike up to an even higher clock speed when the others are idle. If you leave Cool 'n' Quiet enabled and stop stressing your processor it will slow down and the voltage will drop. Well, that's my understanding anyway but I'm not really an overclocker as I'm more than impressed with Ryzen's performance at stock so I'm happy to be told that I'm wrong.

Well I need to know for sure if it gets disabled when you OC manually even if it still says "enabled" because I HAVE noticed that max clocks are 3685MHz when I specify 3.6GHz in the BIOS.

mine does get disabled
when i select 3900

and three other r5 1600's have also got disabled when i set them to 3800

i vaugely recall something about auto disable ,and not quite sure but think
it needed to be above 3700/3800

to be honest i cant see why someone would overclock the 1600 to only 3600mhz

its too 'middle ground'

either leave it to boost itself or go for the higher 3.8/3.9

Well I'm hitting a voltage wall after 3.65GHz @ 1.25v. 3.8GHz needs 1.4v...
