" rel="nofollow - Trying out some dual channel Corsair Vengeance LPX, marketed as 3200mhz but in reality 2133 with an XMP profile for 3200MHZ. Anyway, I was running some Crucial Ballistix sport 2400mhz and this happily clocks to 2933mhz at 1.2 volts with 17, 16,16, 16, 39 timings. Quite happy with this ( at the price) but thought I would give the Corsair a go. So full CMOS/BIOS clear and ready to go. I selected the XMP Profile 1, save and exit, and boots fine. BIOS reports 3200 ram speed. Nothing much to hand to check out ram speed except the BIOS , which I think is more a settings preference for ram speed rather than a report on it, and Speccy. Speccy reports ram speed as 399mhs. I am suddenly in DDR2 land. Then remembered I have Ryzen Master.AHA! I will check it on there, so hit Ryzen Master icon... It tells me I have an unrecognised processor. A 2400G is what I have. So now double puzzled. Every day brings a new challenge with RavenRidge. Any clues?
Oh, better mention the Corsair is on the QVL... ( The Crucial is not!) but the Corsair is to be found a new home on ebay, along with some quad 4x4GB 2400 Crucial, proceeds towards a G-Skill fund.

most ddr4 is 2133 mate its only later kits are 2400 and some very few will default at 2666
my trident z 3200 default to 2133, its not an issue whats more important is what timings they are at 3200 (even more so what we can get them down to at 3200)

Thanks, I did not realise that..Not so bad then The timings are not exceptional 18, 16,16,16 38 from memory, but I will run it a while at that and see if it plays nice. I do not expect wonders from this ram.
