So I'm thinking about getting the X370 KILLER SLI/ac motherboard with a ryzen 3 2200G apu but I don't know if I will have to update bios before I can use the apu. also I don't have anyother cpu's/apu's I could boot with so if I did need to update bios I was wondering if I could do it with no cpu/apu installed. This is also my first pc build so my experience is lacking and it would be helpful if you dummed the computer language down for me a bit  .

If the BIOs is pre 4.50 you will need a cpu to flash the bios to support the new apus. You can get a free upgrade kit from amd if the one you buy has the older bios, which is likely. |
