" rel="nofollow - Hey,
I've bought a AB350M for my main System - one of the reasons was it has everything i need, especially Sata Hot plug. I need HDD Hot Plug because i have to do some backups from time to time...
I enabled the "Hot Plug" option in BIOS, but i cant specify the Port which should be hot plugable. Can somebody help me?
I need to attach and remove SATA HDDs like a USB-Sticks while the System is running.

You want "Hot Swap". Not hot plug. Two completely different procedures.
This works just fine. I use it here: http://mt-naka.com/hotswap/index_enu.htm" rel="nofollow - http://mt-naka.com/hotswap/index_enu.htm

Hot plug the system needs to be shut down to remove it. Hence "plug, not "swap.

Thanks for the link wardog, but im using Ubuntu ;).
I know what Hot Swap means, but these are two different categorys and they belong together:
Hot Plug is the (software/Bios) ability to plug the drive to the Computer and unplug it again on a running System - This is a SATA feature. And normally u can decide wich port should be hot plugable. This option will make a SATA (and not all of them) Drive to "secure (hot)-unplug" in windows like a usb Stick.
Hot swap is the mechanical switching of HDDs on a running System - this is NOT a SATA feature. For Hot swap, hot plug is necessary and sometimes these names gets used equally.
Unfortunately it looks like i have to buy another board...
