" rel="nofollow - Do you know what version you downgraded to? Did it say that it had completed successfully? If so it should be fine if you put a supported processor in. Then you'll be able to update it again.

That's good news. You have an excellent chance of it being fine. You just have to go through the not inconsiderable nuisance of updating it again, swapping processors and wiping off thermal compound. But at least it almost certainly isn't a brick.
EDIT: I have to be cautious and not offer any guarantees because even if you do it "properly" there's always a slight risk that flashing the BIOS will fail.
