Hello,
I have the same type of keyboard Logitech K400 and after months
of struggling with the Beebox ports, I cracked the problem. Here's how
my system is connected: on front port the USB 3 HDD enclosure (on the
back ports it only works on USB2 for some reason) on the back I have the
Logitech unifying receiver and the webcam. I run Ubuntu 16.04 on it.
Whichever port I used (even the one on front), I could not go further
away that 2 meters from the receiver, otherwise the K400 keyboard would
lose connection.
I decided to install a powered USB hub that I
had laying around in the house but I wanted to put it further away and I
got a USB 2 extension cord. Then I thought to myself, why not put the
receiver in the extension cord and put it on top of the TV just for
testing purposes? After I did that, I could control my Beebox from the
next room! So in my opinion, there is something that interferes with the
2.4GHz signal from the receiver. No idea what it is, because I took out
the wifi card a long time ago, I use wired connection for file sharing
and seafile server. And for further testing, I used the 3cm extension that Logitech provides with the keyboard, it works with that too in the front port, only 3 CM away from the unit is enough to make it run very smooth from over 5m away!
BTW I have N3150 CPU with a mSATA 32GB as
main drive, not too fancy but it runs KODI, SEAFILE, SMB and VPN like a
dream, with 2xHDD over USB3 for storage. I can even play back 10bit HEVC
1080p movies without stuttering.
