Hi there,

Mainboard: Asrock Fatal1ty AB350 ITX/ac (BIOS v 4.51)
SSD drive: Samsung 960 EVO NVMe SSD
OS: Windows 10 Pro x64

The M.2 Samsung SSD shows up as removeable media. I've already tried the following but to no avail:

Any advice ?

The one you mention is one of the bugs I reported, I already sent a support email to ASRock with all bugs I found, until ASRock releases a new bios there is no fix.
Have a read at the bugs I reported maybe you can check and confirm some of them

Thanks lads for the replies.

I was not able to log in with my initial account for some reason, I had to create a new one.

@ cristy6100
Pretty odd as I didn't have that "issue" right after installing Windows. It just appeared after a couple of reboots.

@ wardog
Yes, I thought about that and the fact that it's Microsoft's wasn't quite satisfactory to me. I installed AMD's latest Chipset Drivers (18.10.b) but something isn't quite right, is it?

No. That's right, albeit for some reason I show a diff ver.

Beat me to death but here I am with my 3rd account. I don't know why I just can't login with my previous ones. Even providing an email address didn't help as I'm getting nothing but errors, very frustrating.

German vs U.S.?

Try these here. Pay attention to the Hardware ID's that you get the correct ones. I'm thinking yours should be same as mine, 7901, but check there on yours.

Too, prior I'd maybe run two or three throughput tests to get an avg, the switch manually and do three more for an avg on the AMD ones.

So if I'm not mistaken, I'm supposed to pick these:
a) AMD AHCI/RAID Drivers
64bit Win8-10 AMD AHCI Driver v1.3.1.276 WHQL
Am I right?

Or the newer ones NOT whql, 64-Bit only 1.3.1.277 just below it

Either.

But test before and after. Never assume.

Its because the nvme controller for the M.2 is not that one for which you installed the driver, the nvme is listed under Storage Controolers and is called Standard NVM Express Controller.
The one you listed is the 4 port 6Gbps SATA Controller that now has AMD Drivers instead of the Microsoft provided ones

The driver you need is provided by Samsung here  http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/960evo/" rel="nofollow - http://www.samsung.com/semiconductor/minisite/ssd/product/consumer/960evo/ , give it a go and report back, tho I don't think it will help with this issue, it will help with Write/Read speeds.
This bug occurs only from bios 4.4x onward, 4.40 was not affected I tested this myself, but 4.40 has other problems, so no go there either, new bios is the only fix as far as I tested if you have Raven Ridge, for older CPU's you can downgrade to 3.xx

@ cristy6100

Yes, I'm aware of that as I installed the AMD AHCI Driver to replace the quite old Microsoft's one.
As for the Samsung NVMe Driver, I had that already installed of course.
Well, I'll have to wait for a fix based on a new BIOS version I suppose ....
