" rel="nofollow - X470 is the same as X370, no need for any changes, same motherboards, same UEFI, absolutely no changes between X370 and X470, the chipset is just a Re-Brand, they both use the same UEFI and AGESA so no performance gains or higher memory clock either with X470, the only change you will see is on the Fatality they will use Grey/Black heat-sinks instead of Red on X370, X470 also dictates higher quality components be used by manufacturers but ASRock already made use of good hardware, the UEFI is the problem here. All they are doing with X470 is strapping the same chipset with the name changed in firmware and on the IHS and change the color and shape of the heatinks. Oh did I mention they will provide them with the polished up UEFI probably that we X370 Guineea pigs tested? We should get a free upgrade to X470, not even when the "new" x470 lineup is ready could they make the X370 stable, my 4 boards work like engineering samples, not like production boards. If this is the case I migh as well return the 4 boards to my retailer and deman they be changed with Fatality X470 ITX/ac when they get released.... |

i hope ASrock does not make a bunch of mobo's but instead focus on getting a few solid ones. i can agree that the X370 asrock feel like engineering samples. after only 3 months they stopped making the gaming k4 x370/ at the same time doing new revisions of the other mobo's and removing features in the process "LLC and more". The ram support is subpar and the QVL list is useless. most of the kits cant be found with a google search lol Example. Instead of telling me I am wrong, you should tell us all where I am wrong, with arguments pro and con. Chainsaw is right on this one You seem to have a 2400G and an AB350 ITX, your configuration exhibits all the bugs I mentioned in this forum, so I dont understand your point

Agreed, while it is helpful to provide details of issues you encounter, demanding tech support respond on a user forum isn't helping anyone. If you want an answer from Tech Support you need to go through the correct channels and even then, I highly doubt your question will be answered. Updates will roll out when they are ready. I have spoken on these forums countless times about the nasty issues rushed BIOS updates cause. ASRock used to try to be first out the gate with updates but with so many issues causing them to have to pull updates and release quick fix betas I am glad to see them taking their time to properly test before release. There are issues, no one is denying that. It's par for the course with AMD since Ryzen dropped. ASRock is a tiny manufacturer compared to other big brands, I don't mean in product production volume but in staff and resources. They do a hell of a lot with not much at all. This is how you get your value pricing with ASRock products. This is a double edged sword however, things that require intensive labor will take longer or be buggy/rushed. I can appreciate you are eager to see the issues you have discovered fixed but threads like this do nothing to further that end. We are here to support and assist each other, this thread is doing neither. If you are in a particular hurry for some reason, contact ASRock via the proper channels and see if you have any luck there

Indeed you guys are both right, and its maybe my frustration taking the best of me, I never had problems with ASRock before and I recommended them over other brands, but these issues got the best of me.... its frustrating when you make a 136GB data backup from HDDs and the system crashes with stock settings when the process is at almost 80 and something %, you forgive it and start it over just to crash again at 30 something %, then it completes and is stable for the rest of the day. And small things like this, they pile up get the best of you... Yes it is a good idea to lock or even better delete this thread. As Xaltar said it is a double edge sword, I should look both sides I wish everyone a good day and sorry for my childish tantrum :)) PS: I edited my other message from the CSM module thread, again unacceptable the crashes got the best of my nerves... sorry guys
