" rel="nofollow - i have a z170 pro 4 and i cant seem to be able to disable my on board graphics, or so i think. i still show roughly 2 out of 8 gigs not available, i can only assume thats from the onboard graphics.
any ideas?

The most onboard video can use is 1Gb when enabled. Open Task Manager and check Performance, look at Total, Cached and Available.
There is probably a 1Gb+ diff if you add cached to available, the difference is the OS running in memory. The cached is from all the startups and apps running requesting additional ram.

Maybe this PC just uses alot of ram at idle. My other PC doesn't usually use this much.
