Ok, so I am new to the forum (although I've had my MB a year now) Hello everyone :)

 I have the Taichi X370 and recently updated my bios from 3.20 to 4.60 (3.2 to 3.3 t0 4.4 to 4.6)
My Ram now runs at 3066  (just xmp)(corsair 3200) highest before was 2933.  Bonus!
However,  I need to set the CPU_Opt fan header to "DC Mode"  so I can "power management" my 3 pin
fans. BUT, when I save that setting, the computer shuts completely off (last code seen A7 )  then starts
up and boots normal, and won't do the  "2 boot thing" unless I kill power to the PSU. (unplugg or PSU switch).

Any thoughts or comments?

Thnx Smile

mine board experienced plenty of bios versions and each version had different set of bugs...
bios bugs are normal, they will get eventually fixed later, use bios version which works for you

" rel="nofollow - I already reported a bug regarding the DC mode with latest UEFI's

You can read about my findings here: http://forum.asrock.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=8166&KW=&title=yet-another-uefi-bug-with-ab350-x370-itx-ac

I reported to ASRock support my findings so the next UEFI release should fix it

PS: the Hyperlinking function has a bug I think

" rel="nofollow - I don't have a problem with 4.60 and DC on CPU_OPT header.  The only reason that it would reset and not work properly is if AM4 Boot Training fails with your overclock.  I assume you are overclocked as well?
Also, if you are trying to control the power to the fan, you want PWM, NOT DC.

The bug is not on the CPU-OPT fan header, is on the Chassis Fan 1 header
