The i7-4820K is faster but only by 100Mhz and is Ivy bridge, one step up from your Sandy bridge but still has just 4 cores. The i7-4960X runs at 3.6Ghz but Speed Boosts to 4Ghz and has 6 cores. This is probably the king of what your board can support. Having more cores at same speed or better is always a big PLUS ! I checked the Asrock CPU list and those two seem to be the best choices i7-4820k $199.00 · http://starmicroinc.net/intel-core-i7-4820k-3-7ghz-socket-2011-oem-cpu-sr1au-cm8063301292805/" rel="nofollow - - starmicroinc.net i7-4960X $388.00 · http://starmicroinc.net/intel-core-extreme-edition-i7-4960x-3-60ghz-socket-2011-ivy-bridge-oem-desktop-cpu-sr1as-cm8063301292500/" rel="nofollow - - starmicroinc.net I have bought used ram and cpu's from starmicro, they are a good source and well priced, they also have warranties.
Reminder: You will need to flash BIOS to 3.20 or higher before swapping cpu to a better one
