" rel="nofollow - Hi guys. Just moved over from Gigabyte to the ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming.

I notice a footnote on newegg about it being "12 phase" which I assume refers to the power supply.

Is there anything in particular I need to know about this...??(assume I'll understand)

Also, anything in general I need to know about these boards as opposed to giga's...??

Thanks.

12 phase refers to the design of the VRMs feeding the CPU and SoC.
this is only really relevant for overclocking, as higher phase counts can potentially reduce heat and/or increase efficiency among other things than can improve overclocking headroom.
it doesn't affect the power supply or anything else you really need to worry about.
