" rel="nofollow - Hi guys. Just moved over from Gigabyte to the ASRock Fatal1ty X470 Gaming. I notice a footnote on newegg about it being "12 phase" which I assume refers to the power supply. Is there anything in particular I need to know about this...??(assume I'll understand) Also, anything in general I need to know about these boards as opposed to giga's...?? Thanks. |

12 phase refers to the design of the VRMs feeding the CPU and SoC. this is only really relevant for overclocking, as higher phase counts can potentially reduce heat and/or increase efficiency among other things than can improve overclocking headroom. it doesn't affect the power supply or anything else you really need to worry about. ------------- https://valid.x86.fr/7gfqhh" rel="nofollow">
