That board was designed to run Windows 10 and there are only drivers for Win10. You should be able to make it work under Win 8.1 but will take some extra steps. You need to run GPU-Z and get the GPU name and the Device ID's so you can seek out the proper video driver AND if lucky we can find one for Win 8.1. Please post a picture of GPU-Z

fwiw: Trying to make an old install work if you did not properly remove and delete ALL drivers before hooking up to the new board can be near impossible task. One should always install new on a new board.

I have seen tutorials where they got the drivers installed on windows 7 and 8.1 but of course they need the device id to modify the ini file. well since it doesn't show up in device manager I cannot get the ID.
here is the gpu-z

" rel="nofollow - WOW wtf ? It lists nothing which is very odd. I tried GPU-Z on a board with no vid drivers and it came back with info in GPU and device ID but many others were blank. After looking at Intel website found the GPU is a 500 series (505 iirc).
Try this driver: https://www.dell.com/support/home/us/en/19/Drivers/DriversDetails?driverId=C2N7T
after download run it and extract the contents to a HD folder and then run the setup.
it supports Win7, 8, 10 and Intel HD 500/600 series and was released August 2017. It may work if lucky or at least get you closer....

I did download the drivers from intel, it won't install even tho it says it for 7 8.1 and 10. but that is one I can modify the ini if I had the ID. But the lowest model was 530. I did try to manually install(legacy device manger) , that did give me the adapter but it didnt function. I will try this dell driver.

same error as the other intel drivers, "hardware doesnt meet the requirements"

" rel="nofollow - do you think it might be because I am booting in (Csm) legacy instead of UEFI?

Ok well was hoping it was a fixed driver, some of Dells drivers are redesigned for specific stuff.
You may have the same issue that the new 8000 series cpu have where there is no Win7/Win8 drivers, only Win10 for the graphics. My 8700 is that way but it defaults to "standard windows" driver and does show in CP > Device Manager in Win7.

" rel="nofollow - Check this one out: https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/27227/Intel-Graphics-Driver-for-Windows-15-45-?product=96552

It lists all the 500 series (505, 510, 515, etc) you may be  able to re-write the inf if you can find the Dev-ID's

Well, I decided to reinstall since I wanted GPT instead of mbr, I wanted to use uefi as well. Turns out my install disc was windows 8, display adapter did show up in device manager but it was microsoft basic. tried more tricks while 8.1 downloaded, to no avail. Then installed 8.1, display adapters disappeared. sigh. I think I am resigned to isntalling windows 10, I do like windows 10 but it doesnt run windows media center. one of the better products they have and they had to kill it.

Thanks for the update. Yeah MS screwed up many things in Win10 IMHO.
