2 Out of 3 of my desktop personal computers are using ASRock motherboard.

I choose this ASRock G31M-GS motherboard because my previous low quality mainboard was out of service, then I choose the best price motherboard in the Mong Kong Computer Shopping Mall in Hong Kong. It is because I only have a limited budget. ASROCK can satisfy my requirement.

I choose this also because of the functions it have. It has a build in video chipset, that means I can still use it even if my video card goes down. My video card really out of service 2 days ago!Cry It also has SATA connectors, 775 CPU socket , PCI-E slot, PCI slots, dual channel DDR II RAM slots, build in sound chipset and build in video chipset. It satisfies my requirements and save a lot of time for installing a all in one motherboard.

The feature that I like is that it can support modded Intel Xeon 4 cores CPU. These Intel Xeon CPU have relatively lower prices than the other 4 cores CPU. I have upgraded to a Xeon 5355 2.6GHz 4 cores 1333MHz FSB CPU from a Pentium 4 551 3.4GHz CPU and Pentium D 945 3.4Ghz CPU.

Another features I like is that it can also support a 1600MHz CPU that means I may even upgrade to 1600MHz FSB CPU. My next target is to upgrade it to a Intel Xeon X5492 3.4GHz 4 cores 1600MHz FSB CPUStar.

What would be the RAM frequency if 1600MHz FSB is set?

How can I utilize all of the 4GB ram installed on this main board since I can only see about 3.xGB in 64bit Windows 8.1.

i post topic about a problem on my Asrock Z97 extrem 6 for ask questions around it.
Then the reaction of Asrock forum was to delete the ptopic and never send me an explication about that.

So the fact is that, this forum is not a support forum, but a comercial strategy for just make the customer actor of do ads.
All support question who can point a technical problem (or a problem in general) would be censured.

I'm sorry and desagree this censured agressive commercial politic of Asrock and will never buy more Asrock material for not contribute to this kind of weird politic.

I found that there is a technical support in this forum. Have you asked questions there?

My old build was a 775-socket board...I gave the E8500 processor to a friend...been wanting to try the Xeon mod you're talking about.  The used Xeon's are very cheap here online.  Let us know if you try it
