Hello,

I have a ROG STRIX Z40 E Gaming motherboard that has been runnning for the last 3 or 4 years with a single NVME 1Tb Samsung 970 Evo Plus M2 SSD installed in M1_1 socket.
I have just installed a second M2 drive in M2_2 socket, which is exactly the same model as the first one.

When I run CrystalDiskMark, the sequential read performance is 3551.5 for the first drive and 1771.4 for the new drive.
the other performance figures are virtually the same.

Can anyone give me an explanation for these differences?

Thanks in advance.
