" rel="nofollow - Hi,

Im building a threadripper 1950x on a taichi x399.  I have read that in addition to the 8pin 12v connector (atx12v1 slot) that the 4pin (atx12v2 slot) is required as well.  I have a corsair tx850m but unfortunately it only comes with one 8pin(4x4) eps/atx12v cable, it does not have a second which I could use for the 4pin.

My question is; can I use a molex to male 4pin 12v adapter for that 4pin atx12v2 slot?

" rel="nofollow - Give the adapter a whirl, but you should at this point also consider a new PSU that has the proper wiring.
