I want to replace my Samsung 980 Pro with the new 990 evo plus 2Tb. There is a pin missmatch so ASRock told me to use a NVMe M2 to PCIe adapter.
The Problem: When I install the SSD with the adapter the GPU spins to life but does not output any signal.
In the manual for my mobo it says that when using a Ryzen CPU the pcie2 port runs at x16 and pcie4 runs at x4.
The M2_1 slot is not in use; The GPU is connected to pcie2; The SSD to pcie4; So it should work in theory.
Maybe I have to change some settings in the BIOS? However, I don't know what settings.
System:
Mobo: AB350 Pro4 Version: 5.8
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 3600 GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 Ti RAM: DDR4 3200 32GB in dual channel mode SSD: Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2TB Adapter: SABRENT NVMe M.2 SSD to PCIe X16/X8/X4 CARD
Thank you for the help.

Problem solved by simply updating BIOS to latest version (10.31 [Beta])

Hello!
It's good to hear that it got solved. BIOS updates solve many incompatibility issues, like the one that you had.
