" rel="nofollow - Hi everyone

I have a question about the Fatal1ty X299 Professional Gaming i9 XE.

As I see one of the three M2 PCIe x4 Sockets is directly connected to the CPU and the other two are running through the chipset. Is it possible to create a RAID 0 with all of the M2 drives to install Windows on that RAID?

Thanks and have a great day!

gianni

I have the none XE version but I can only create a RAID 0 on 2 of the M2 slots.

I have a 960 1 TB Pro Nvme on slot 1.

2 & 3 has 2x970 Evo 500gb.

I use the built in intel raid configuration for RAID 0 and installed the RST drivers for Windows 10.

It runs retarded and unstable.  My machine won't turn off or restart properly, just sits there with all the fans ramped up.

Dear Gianni-gt,

Thank you for contacting us.

Regarding your question, X299 Professional Gaming i9 XE has three M.2 slots.

Because the M2_1 is connected to CPU and M2_2 and M2_3 are connected to PCH, RAID mode only supports at M2_2 and M2_3 slots.

Thank you!

Yours truly,

ASRock TSD
