So first let me start by saying this is my first attempt at a build....... so it may be me, but I've tried this twice. Based on some other threads, I only installed the CPU (i7) and 1 memory stick (DDR4-2400 8gb) installed.

When I power the case, the LED under the the ASRock plate light purple, then switch to a pulsing red (I have no idea if that matters).....

When I power up the computer, the system runs for about 20 seconds then shuts down..... then powers up, 20 seconds and powers down..... and repeats

Initially I have a video card in and its fans pulsed but never started.... also, the cpu fan never started either tho is was plugged in

Any help would be appreciated

problem solved...... it was, in fact, newbie error...... :-/

Glad you figured it out, is very easy to overlook a connection or some other simple thing on a new build. Hope you enjoy your new i7+z370 setup, is a very good choice for an upgrade !
