" rel="nofollow - I was replacing the led strip in my case because it was too long and it has lost its stickiness. I picked up a cablemod Aura Sync strip which had a 4 pin connector that fit on my board. I also have 3 rgb fans in the front of my case connected using a 3-1 splitter. I went to change out the cable for my strip, and to do so I pulled out both cables. When I replaced them, the red channel stays on at full brightness all the time, even when I turn off the RGB headers using the RGB software. I tried reversing the cables, but it turns everything off. This has never happened before in the six months I have had my computer. It's weird because both headers (the rgb and the cpu fan) do it, so I don't think its a hardware issue. I messed around with ASRock's rgb software for several hours, as well as updated the BIOS, but nothing seems to work. I've searched online for hours, but nobody else seems to be having this specific problem. Did I accidentally fry my board somehow?

" rel="nofollow - Only the new strip is giving this symptom?

If that is the case then the pinout of the strip is different than the pinout on the board. The red is obviously connecting to the 12v pin on the board, hence not turning off. RGB strips are usually split into 4 or 5 pins/traces, RGB and W (if it has a pure white LED) then 12v. If the 12v pin is connected to any of the color pins it will illuminate that color. The strip should have it's pinout either printed on it or in it's documentation. ASRock's RGB headers are:

12v - Green - Red - Blue

If your cable pinout is different you will need to swap them around on the connector.
