My computer had been working fine for over a year and I wanted to get things running a little cooler, so I tried installing the motherboard utility. It crashed my computer and when it booted back up, it wouldn't connect to the internet.

I ran the troubleshooter, and it says it was unable to find a DHCP.

Also, looking at my device manager, the only things listed under Network Adapters are the WAN miniports and a Bluetooth device.

I have since uninstalled the motherboard utility, but it has not helped.

I'm at a loss what to do, please help!

I have exactly the same issue reported by ibuildstuff.
Installed Windows 11, running Network with the WiFi adapter everything goes smooth. As I want to update to BIOS 1.70, I installed MotherBoard Utility.
Blue Screen, reboot and lost my Internet conection AND WiFi option. Now I just can use network adapter with cable or BT.
I also reinstall Win 11 and exactly the same.
Please help us as I CAN'T use WiFi anymore...

Sorry I never posted earlier. I found on another forum that someone turned off and unplugged their pc for an hour or so and it fixed the problem. I did this and left it unplugged overnight, voila it worked the next day. Dumbest thing ever, but hasn't given me grief since.

Hello ibuildstuff.
HUGE thanks. It works. Not sense but it works again.
If can I abuse of you kindness and time, do you have a couple of drivers issues in W 1?
I have used DEVICE HUNT with the vendor ID and both are Intel hardware, but the pasge is not able to let me know the driver to use.
PCI Device
Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_43A4&SUBSYS_43A41849&REV_11\3&11583659&0&FD requires further installation.
Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller
Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1134&SUBSYS_00008086&REV_00\1270953899B7D00000 requires further installation.

Thanks!

Hey JaviMoRey,

I do have one device that the drivers aren't installed, and it's coming up in device manager as a USB controller.

PCI Slot 24 (PCI bus 7, device 0, function 0)

Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1134&SUBSYS_00008086&REV_00\EB0D64918FC9A00000 requires further installation.

From what I just googled:
Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_43A4 is a flash controller
Device PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_1134 is a thunderbolt controller

I just downloaded and installed the driver for the thunderbolt controller from the ASRock driver download page and it worked. I can't find anything specific to the SPI (flash) driver though.
