I bought this motherboard from local shop, after i bult pc, pc started freezing sound for 1 sec every 20-40 min i tought that problem is driver, but no. Then i installed fresh win 10 pro but problems are even worse pc freezes after 2 hours of normal usage, sometimes i need to hard reset pc, somtime pc restarts without freezing. I tested ram with memtest86 and no errors are found, tried booting pc with one stick of ram, tested psu with multimeter i was getting stable 12v, tried different gpu, tried other hdd, but none of those fixed problem. So i read that this mb has bad vrm cooling, so i took apart pc and gived mb to local shop to give me my money back, they sent mb to test and after 9 days they called me and said that there is nothing with motherboard, i was speechless. And i builded pc again but that sh*t is still happening. Do any one have any suggestions what shud i do now. Here are my specs but i thing it doesn't really matter so much.

Return the mobo i you can and take another model / brand.

It's regarding the voltage, the auto overclock or ryzen and the lack of llc in the mobo.

Try to disable core performance boost (no xfr) and set a fix core clock to avoid the cpu going from idle to performance states trying to avoid the peaks up and down in the voltage every time cores are pushed with more or less frequency.

You may use the old bios, prev to the release of raven or pinnacle.

I returned mb and i need to wait again. I'll update when they call me.

" rel="nofollow - Is your local shop going to rma the board for you with Asrock? Try to get other board right now, waiting is a nonsense.

Keep using the 350M Pro4 with ryzen APU its a bad idea, but there are many other cheap boards that runs ok.

May be much better for all (you, shop and Asrock) swap the board at Asrock RMA support returns the unit to your dealer.

If they test board properly and see that board doesnt work as it shoud, they will give me money back or give other brand b350 mb.

Yesterday I moved my PC to a place with more airflow.

For now, the uptime is about 25 hours with no freezes so far. This is record

My story is as follows, I bought this MB a week ago, of course I didn't check the forums about this MB prior to purchase.
Only when it started hanging I started to realise my mistake :) I had particulary easy to hang it, just run Fallout4... Otherwise it hanged here and there, it was a matter of hours not days.

BUT, I flashed beta bios 4.82 and freeze has gone. It does not freeze anymore, at least not while gaming 6hrs in a row for 5days now.

It has 2400G APU and AData XPG 1x8GB (slot A2) memory running at 2933/3066, video card is nVidia 1050, not using Vega yet, will test it down the road.
Only thing that is not working - IOMMU, can't even boot with it enabled.

Ahh, I forgot to mention, it runs linux exlusively.

-------------
CPU: Ryzen 5600X
MB: Fatal1ty X370 Gaming K4 (BIOS 7.03)
RAM: CMK16GX4M2B3200C16, works with 3200 by default on 7.03 bios (previously I could not go higher than 2933)

Hmmmm.

1.Have you upgraded your firmware 3.40 at least?
2.Your cable, your hardware may have defects which people usually ignore.
3.Have you tried new drivers?
4.Hardware Overheat?

I personally have faced something like yours After Installed NVMe, Almost one hang one day.

First of all, Why down after half day, Is Power issues, Perhaps yes as The power has been using more than two years. So I tested very carefully before I end up with a new 650W DC level thing which says you only need at most 720W AC for the DC loading.

After replacing the power, it comes with another thing which forces me to pull of HDDs to look further as the power is new.  It seems the Kingston A1000 is doing no good , refusing writing anymore so I use clonezilla to clone the area to a 240GB SATA3 SSD to see if there are more funny things.

If SATA3 (cables are good) cannot withstand, then I am unlucky.

I believe you better check cables first as most issues are cable releated. Also Please upgrade firmware to 3.40 at least.

" rel="nofollow - May I ask you which storage device you have been using?

Last time, I have found the damned is caused by NVMe.

Man obviously i first upgraded to 3.40 and then to 4.70 and then to newest bets bios didnt help.
I tried differet sata cables and different hdd.
I updated all drivers to newest ones.
Hardwer didnt overheat gpu max temp was 36, max cpu temp was 43.
If psu was problem pc would have volt drops witch pc didnt have i was measuring volts with multimeter and i had stable 12 volts.
And you can look on newegg or amazon 35% reviews are one star and in those reviews all people have same issue with freezing.

Can you give it a try without the discreet? I think the board cann't handle all voltage peaking (cpu + igpu) @ NB.

Ok COF1, it's important that the do the test using Zen APU (not Zen cpu without igfx, or A-Series APU).

The board may not be in fact faulty (it's very possible that run smoothly using a A9600 for example), but can not still running more than a while using a zen + vega apu. 60/120 minutes at idle and the freezes comes.

At the store may not sold more of this mobo model to use with zen apus. Better for everybody.

Hope you enjoy the processor on a working MB soon, are really nice.

First time that i sent mb to them to test they didnt accept rma so i bult pc again and pc worked normaly for whole day and next day pc started crashing again. So that means that mb will work normaly when doesnt have power for some days. So i think that that mb will crash on any cpu.

Yes, same issue all others. Mobo can handle about 60/120 min without crash and then -1/2 time before next crasah to finally crash while booting until put the mobo to sleep a day or more to 'cold' entireliy.

Obviously, i don't know nothing about your purchasing date, your rights or what you can claim but:

- Dealer must take your product in the first 7/15 days after the purchase. Something is wrong, the machine will crash in idle at the 60/120 min, and then all comes worst.
- rma procedure must be done by the customer and comes after the 7/15 days dealer gives the support.

Zen APU put the VRM, chipset and circuitery under much more workload than the Zen CPU or A-series products. Understand thar cpu cores and igpu cores feeds from the NB VRM (both). The stock voltaje is 1.4. If you keep it as is, when performance boost and xfr wakes (constantly) you will it 1.55V (!) with out the peaks and vdroop due the lack of LLC the inestability is going to happend.

The mobo was going great with ryzen 1 gen. Agesa 1.006. Bios 3.3 or so. Problems started with the release / support raven ridge (Zen APU) and Pinnacle (Ryzen 2nd gen).

Maybe you are not going to doublecheck about it, but if at the store do test using CPU (not apu) Ryzen 1 (with much less VRM stress and handling only CPU, not iGPU), they are not playing the same game you are faceing.

In my opinion, the phisical components or the design of the mobo can't handle properly nothing after Summit (Ryzen 1st gen - CPU).

Well i said that i tried different psu, tried different gpu, and that i tested ram i memtest86. And you should tell them that everyone on newegg and amazon are having same problem, and that the asrock support doesn't want to answer to support ticket.
