" rel="nofollow - What processor do you have installed in the system and what BIOS version did you flash the motherboard to?

Does the system stay on for a bit, then turn off for a few seconds, then turn back on for the same amount of time, repeating that pattern over and over?

Yeah, I did that too by mistake just recently. System started up fine, I wanted to update the BIOS to the latest and I assumed the version label on the BIOS chip itself, "P3.30," was what was installed. Nope! It'd been updated after manufacture. So now I've got a motherboard that doesn't support my processor and I'm stuck figuring how to fix this.

AMD has a support page specifically explaining this situation and the steps to follow to try and get this fixed:  https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/2Gen-Ryzen-AM4-System-Bootup.aspx" rel="nofollow - https://support.amd.com/en-us/kb-articles/Pages/2Gen-Ryzen-AM4-System-Bootup.aspx . First, contact the retailer you bought the motherboard from, explain the issue and see if they'll accept a return for a replacement or will send the MB in to be reflashed. If they won't help, then contact ASRock's support and see if they'll cover it under warranty, and if not if they'll fix it for a fee. And if both of those fall through, you can ask AMD for a "boot kit" loan processor that will work with your motherboard and allow you to flash the BIOS up to a version that supports your Ryzen 3 2200G. There's a number of hoops you have to jump through for that last one, though. They're listed on the AMD page I linked.

Alternatively, if you already have a earlier model processor that your downgraded MB BIOS supports or can borrow one from someone, that'd be the easiest way to fix things. Just install it, flash the BIOS up to the latest version, then take it out and install your 2200G and it should work.
