Hi, ASRock APP Shop says there is a BIOS update for my board (currently running 1.7 the update is 1.8 on 23rd Sep) but I can only update by downloading from the ASRock website where it says the latest BIOS is 1.7. Not too worried as my system is stable and running fine but a bit strange never-the-less. Any thoughts?

Pete

It's probably a case of the update is ready but not updated on the site yet. Often there is more than one team working on things and when one is ready before the other we end up with things like this Wink I am sure the update will be available on ASRock's website soon.

I saw that too, but not thrilled about running a Windows based UEFI/BIOS update, which is what I assume will happen if I download the 1.80 update.

I noticed when I checked the 1.80 UEFI entry, a message appeared about Internet Flash not being available for 1.80. It seems Xaltar is right about various teams working on things, with some being ahead of others.

Given some of the recent updates for similar ASRock Z170 boards, I predict the following for 1.80:

1. Improve DRAM compatibility.
2. Improve OC function.
3. Add NVME Configuration.
